RIP

Sad news. I've heard nothing but good things about the man from someone who traveled around doing clinics with him back in the day.

4 posts? I'm losing faith in the grappling forum.

Watching his Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi early on is one of the big reasons why Ashi Waza are the coolest techniques in Judo to me. Flawless timing that makes top world competitors look like they are clumsy noobs.

Big and Tall Judo, FTW!

RIP. We are all bound to go someday. At least he left a good legacy.

Ahh, that is too bad. Geesink was, and always will be, a legend.

He's probably randoring with all the other greats right now

This comes as quite a shock.

The passing of a great is always particularly sad. RIP...
