Anti-Domestic Violence Protest To Take Place At UFC 191

The UFC has obvious double standards. Popular fighters tend to get protected while lower tier fighters get the short end of the stick right away.

Imo the UFC should side with the protesters and set an example against violence, domestic or not.

Classic scare tactics. With SJW's, you're either with them or against them. Why would you side with people in the wrong just to be socially accepted?

It's no big deal.

Honestly... People like Anthony Johnson are ticking timebombs. He obviously has issues with women. Hopefully he gets everything in order, but if you go by the numbers of repeat offenders... It doesn't look good.

"Needless to say this could be an absolute PR nightmare for the promotion.":icon_lol:

Man, the overt sensationalism for everything regarding The UFC coming from fans, websites, and the like is just pure comedy :icon_chee

get out of that MMA bubble you little touts, you :)

Rumble's run-in with the yoga whale has really been blown out of proportion.

Though, yeah, the rest of his legal history does warrant some eyebrow-raising.

AJ is not some convicted rapist so they have to protest against him,for fucks sake, what a load of crap.

That has to be one
of the worst haikus I have
read on Sherdog, Bruh.

Christy Mack in attendance?

Rumble should wade in there and start swinging like he did on his ex.

Maybe I should have made that clearer. Side with the topic not the group in general.

The UFC should promote violence, but only in the octagon. Underline that violence is a problem of individuals and not the sport.

"Awareness" is the SJW battlecry.

No, It does not prove innocence, but it must be presumed. It's not up to the court of public opinion.

To put them in jail, sure. FOr people to treat them as if they were guilty, of course not.

Depends on how you treat them.

This may be one of the weakest excuses for a protest in some time.

It's one thing to protest a lack of punishment when you have someone who's convicted, or someone who has been charged, or even someone who is being investigated.

However, Johnson and Browne have not only NOT been convicted of a crime, they have not been charged with a crime, nor have they even been investigated for the possible commission of a crime by a law enforcement agency.

It's like me accusing a random person of a crime and you being suspended even though there isn't even an ongoing police investigation. That crosses over from stupid to potentially illegal.

Even if you have a conduct/morality clause in a contract, you can't actually enforce it without evidence that conduct/morality was violated. And without video proof, ample witnesses, or other recorded evidence it would be very hard to argue that you met a sufficient burden to meet that clause in the absence of at least a law enforcement investigation.
