what the hell has gone wrong ? i thought he would of beat barboza with ease, really lacking in confidence..not throwing the shots like he once did very noticeable, feel a bit sorry for him right now :(

He s done,, I know its sad but he should take the path of hendo

Or he met a guy who was just as fast if not faster with better technique?

I don't really see how this is the same guy that beat Cerrone and Benson twice.

Now whenever he turns around to point at his showtime tattoo I say to myself "Is it really Anthony?".

Looked like a similar situation to Silva in the fight against Bisping. They still have A warrior mentality, but they are also trying to finish on something that will launch them back up to the top as well as get them a flashy win. Doesn't seem to be working very well for either of them. I hope both Pettis and Silva can secure a win soon, but I have little faith left in Pettis.

Time to take a little step back in class of opponent to build that confidence back up, Edson is a tough match-up coming off a loss.

i dont think he landed one really clean shot on barboza

It's just a confidence issue at the moment with Pettis.. He was gun shy in his fight vs Eddie and he's just not as quick or as Technical as Barboza to just strike with him. He should have took Barboza down when he was losing on the feet... but he wanted the knock out to prove he's back.

dafuq kind of "fans" are you saying he is done ?!
He is still a fkin awesome fighter ... he went up agaisnt 3 top LW back to back.
You should support him not doubt him

You will hear people say he's done, don't worry they're WWE fans. The guy is 29 and far from done, this losing streak can probably be attributed to of course strong competition and him going through an adjustment period in training, switching camps, switching wrestling coaches, etc.

The USADA era effects all fighters differently.

3 fight losing skid. Crazy. I've never been a big fan but I thought Pettis had a lot of potential.

It's the WWE fans who think it's due to switching camps and switching wrestling coaches.

1. He's still a Duke Roufus fighter.
2. There was no wrestling in the Barboza fight, it was an ideal striker/striker matchup for Pettis and he still got dusted. RDA also outstruck him on the feet.

I thought he looked good against Alvarez, and could have won imo. Barboza is just good, but that guy lost to MJ and Tony

He tried to take barboza down three times....

Dos Anjos broke him apparently.

He hasn't recovered mentally it seems. The skills are there, he needs an easy fight to boost confidence.
