Oooooohhhhhh weeeeeeee whose ready for this one? Not much even needs to be said about this one. I think we can all agree we are just waiting to sit back and enjoy.






Still pretty bummed about Cormier pulling out but this Saturday's PPV is still a really nice card from top to bottom. The return of the greatest of all time, plus Mighty Mouse who is arguably one
Of the greatest of all time already. And a sick, sick fight in Pettis vs Barboza.

I'm already counting the hours
 
Pettis will wrestle. Like the Stephens fight.
 
Completely forgot until yesterday. Crazy how Pettis has gone from being Mr Main event to an afterthought. I'm really excited about this fight.

To beat Barboza, you need to pressure him. I don't think Pettis has the style to beat him.

Edson will pick him appart with his kicks and keep him at range. Unless Pettis counters him with a big shot, I see Barboza winning a UD.

Usually fights that look like guaranteed fireworks end up being snoozers. I hope this isn't the case here!
 
Style-wise, I think Edson and Pettis match up very equally. We've seen that Barboza struggles mightily with pressure boxers and Pettis is definitely not that kind of fighter, but conversely we have seen what a fast southpaw with mean body kicks can do to Pettis. Obviously, RDA and Edson are two completely different fighters, but this matchup is a very interesting one to me. With Barboza, you gotta worry about his chin holding up but if this fight goes the distance I see him getting the nod.

And Pettis simply does not have the takedowns to bring this fight to the mat against a guy with the TDD of Barboza.
 
I really can't pick a winner. on one hand Barboza is dangerous as all hell but Pettis needs this win. one tiny slip and its all over for Pettis. Barboza put all kinds of hurt to Ferguson, does Pettis have that heart to push through the same punishment? i really hope so. they both have the skills and Pettis looks fast and strong with his technique. i just think Barboza has a tiny edge. but ask me in a few minutes and I will give the edge to Pettis. this is one of those real fights people are sleeping on.

his wrasslin looks extra fast and strong in his training vids. there is no setup in his takedowns and its all or nothing torpedo style. Barboza will have no answer for it. but then again what if Pettis decides to strike with Edson? like the Mir vs Hunt. i knew Mir would strike instead of taking hunt down. that Ego is a mofo.
 
Pettis doesn't fight well when things doesn't go his way. Barboza start fights doing well. I don't know about this one.

I think Pettis has a good chance of finishing if he lands something big upstairs but Edson should take it if it goes to decision, and that's my pick. Edson UD.

Im a big fan of Barboza and can't stand Pettis
This is a really tough fight to call i can see Pettis being either at the top of his game needing a win or a little mentally broke after two straight loses , I'm hoping for the later and that Barboza takes advantage of this getting another highlight real KO .
 
This should be fireworks, no excuses from Pettis about it not being a fight.
