Whoa! Didn't see this coming I thought these 2 hated each other haha Cowboy said pretty sure the whole gym stopped and just watched us spar, shit who wouldn't haha. Pettis is fighting Barbosa next who Cowboy beat 2yrs ago ima guess helping him prepare

good to see
hope Pettis gets back on track

I just read this on the front page. Excited to see him training at Jackson/Wink. Hoping for some evolution to get back on his game.

Cowboy is a much better fighter now and probably beats Showtime.....

I wonder if Pettis hurt Cerrone body in training too

Pettis trains with the wrestling coach from Jackson/Winklejon, IIRC. Izzy Martinez. Probably busy and Pettis had to go to him this time.

Jackson Wink could totally revitalize his career.

That's exactly my thoughts too. I hope to see Pettis grow where he needs to and I think he can get more ground work there.

Nah, dawg.
Fan of both Doc, but soooo disappointed in Pettis recent fights......
Don't know what's happened to him.
Cowboy just plain pissed me off as he'd worked so hard to get the title fight - practically cleaning up the division - then he just folds against RDA.
Anyway, are you a real Doctor ? I got this itch.....

I'm sure he's learning but he really needs to work on his boxing, and so does Cerrone. Both those guys have great kicks and average boxing, IMO.

Not only a refreshing gym change up for him this time around, but the best gym in MMA is what he changed to.

Couldn't be happier, as a big fan of Showtime.

I would love to see a Anthony Pettis who circles out from the cage well, utilizes a check hook or something similar, oblique kicks, and maintains kicking distance well like alot of Jackson-Wink fighters.

I think Winklejon will add amazing tricks and setups to his already slick striking.

Pettis showed that the way to beat Cerrone is with body shots. Cerrone didn't fold against RDA, he got hurt bad with a shot to the liver. Pettis would go right to the body against Cerrone cuz his nastiest kick is the left body kick. Pettis just needs to work on his take down defense (which has gotten better) and fighting in the clinch.

I'm not a doctor, I'm a mister. I went to college for it and everything.

Cleaning out the top 11-20 LW fighters isn't cleaning out the division. I get super pumped when Cerrone fights but the best win in his streak was a razor close decision over Benson.

Makdessi, Barboza aren't really world beaters. Can't remember the rest of his streak at the moment.

But him beating those guys as opposed to Pettis lasting 5 rounds vs RDA and having super close fights with top 6 or 7 Eddie Alvarez who laid against the cage a ton.

I see Pettis as the superior fighter and stylistical nightmare for Cowboy

They have the same wrestling coach and training with a different team for a day or two is pretty common.
He isn't changing gyms ffs.

That said. Showtime needs to improve his wrestling to hang with the elite guys.
