Anthony wants to try out MMA and word is, he is interested in a matchup with Jon Jones.

Beside the obvious, like Jon not being able to KO him and Anthony having no takedown defense against Jon no matter how long he trains between now and say a year from today, the big factor- maybe the deciding factor would be:

Motherfucking sick ass leg kicks. I'd assume that Jon would destroy his legs and knees. Or alternatively, he would try and would be rewarded, a la, Anderson, with his own leg snapping in half?

What say you?

How does Jon win without getting knocked out in a humiliating way? How does anthony win without getting his legs destroyed? Boxers in their prime have cardio in spades, so that is a nonissue?

I think Jon would be dumb to try and keep it on the feet.

I also think that jon is dumb.

I think i might just hangout in the wasteland from now on. it seems like thats where all the best threads are

A very smart fighter though. He would probably just take him down in the first 30 secs, and then secure a sub within the next 2 mins.

How so? I'll admit that hes fighting less confidently since I got off of his last suspension, but he does not seem particularly irresponsible.

My biggest concern would be him discounting how huge and powerful Anthony is and that he would be punched into the future and wake up on a spaceship. Lol

I don't think Jon is strong enough to toss Anthony. That seems like a real stretch. He could however trip him, but does he get KOd in the process?

Why try? Top level boxers are masters of range and counters. They are superior to Muay Thai fighters in this sense. Even if you disagree and think you can beat him, why give him a chance?

Bones is pretty strong for LHW, he'd be tossing and tripping fools at heavyweight.

Yoel would beat the fuck out of AJ let alone Jones.

If you're not trolling, then you don't know anything about this sport. At all.

Jones is strong enough to slam HUGE LHWs like Bonnar and OSP who were actually resisting him. What the fuck do you think is going to happen when he clinches with a guy that has zero grappling experience?

I'm more curious as to why you ever think Joshua would fight in the bush leagues like UFC???? He make more money in a nice ring not some greasey shit stained cage.

Jon via grappling and hellbows after a few oblique kicks. Maybe a sub. I’ll beleive Joshua can be successful in mma or will even ever attempt it after he takes a mma fight or there is footage of him at least training.

If jones could out wrestle dc he would be able to with joshua. Joshua has a lot of money. Is an insanely athletic person. He would have a lot of resources. I cant imagine he would just roll up in to the ufc not prepared for grappling.
