This fight need to happen, for the #1 contender at 205lbs. Good UFC 201 fight imo.
 
No way, don't risk Rumble losing again. I mean, if Jones beats Cormier, that's one of the few matchups at LHW left for Jones other than rehashed bullshit.
 
I have no ill will toward Glover but his is probably the best match to make for Rumble. Rumble will come short of knocking Glover's head off but not by much. Glover's consciousness will be separated from his body, if this match happens. It will also set up Jones v Rumble so that would also be a plus but again I really like Glover it will be sad to see Glover desimated.

I appreciate that Yoshiuki accepted the fight TS, and that he was compensated for the weight advantage purchased by Rumble Johnson but if he had made a stand against rumble johnson and his adding his own prefered weightclass rumbleweight to the ufc ranks ( im trying to make sense of rumble johns weight cutting soap opera shenaniganss , obviously impossible, reflected in my run away no period sentence.

i find the good in anyone, but rumble johnson i just cant support. kicked out of the UFC in disgrace plus his criminal weight cutting like i am really speechless. or rich clementi god bless him made anthony rumble johnson think that if he cuts more weight then he will win everytime.
i dont dislike him or hate him or anything like that. just no way do i support him. guys if you support anythony "kidney list waiting list" then im afraid that we cannot agree on that. how did he get a free pass on his return? daley should get a win bonus compared to anthony " the kidney slayer" johnson's misdeeds.

Glover has just as much power as Rumble and a better chin. Both would get tagged but Glover would win a UD or TKO by ground n pound. Glover has better wrestling, submissions and hungrier than Rumble is.

Glover made a humble challenge, the ball is now in Rumbles court to accept.
 
Rumble has been suspiciously silent since Glover's call out.

Glover should copy/paste Rumble's instagram call out of Bader. It would apply nicely here.

Glover by TKO/sub after Rumble gasses.

Better wrestling? Wrong. Phil Davis or Bader couldn't do anything against Rumble. Glover takes 2 punches to give 1 and that wouldn't work against Rumble.

I'll try to be more specific. Rumble has the better takedown defense but overall wrestling skills on the ground, I would give to Glover.

I could get really hyped for that fight. Just thinking about getting hyped for it is getting me hyped.
 
If Maldonado and Bader can tag Glover, Rumble will punch his head into the stratosphere. I like this matchup, but I'd rather just see Rumble fight the Jones vs. DC winner.

Nah, Rumble has way more power than Glover. Rumble will win it. I mean obviously we'll have to wait and see if it gets booked and then have to wait and see if you're right but I thought that it was just an accepted truth that Rumble has the most KO power in LHW. Oh well I guess it's not. Don't forget that Rumbles wrestling is his base and he is great at scrambling. If Glover does get him in a sub that Rumble can't power out of, I would guess it's game over but I think Rumble has better takedowns and takedown defense. Anyway, agree to disagree I guess.
 
It's a fight i've wanted to see and i loved the call out. It's interesting, Rumble would be heavily favored at range but Glover has some nasty power and inside work. Glover winning does make the division go full circle though, i can could see why the UFC and Rumble would want to wait this thing out.
 
Glover may be more technical than Rumble and he does have really good power but I think Rumble is too fast for him.

Rumble's TDD, power, scramble IQ, Darpa head and, most importantly, SPEED would be too much for Glover.

Glover could win ... By opportunistic sub most likely; KO possible but a longshot when he's punching a guy whose head Is shaped like:
