I think we need to accept, nobody is outboxing this guy, its just a case of who can stop him?
Where's his ceiling? 140? 147? Its hard to imagine a smaller guy in the bear pit at WW.. but this guy.. hmmm.

Is Artorias boxing the channel which has a bunch of videos with completely absurd punch counts (the one which had Pacquiao beating Mayweather comes to mind)?

Anyway, 40 is pretty barren at the moment, so he could probably beat a number of guys there (a decent pressure fighter with power and size, maybe a guy like Regis Prograis, could cause him a lot of problems that high up in weight). Lomachenko did have real issues with Linares' size and power (and Linares isn't excessively big or powerful for 35), so I don't give him any real chance against a guy like Spence at 47. That would be a slaughter and Lomachenko simply doesn't belong that high up in weight. So I see 40 as his peak, and I think he could get into some real trouble at that weight if some quality comes into the division in the next few years.

Edit: yeah, the video is by the same clown I was thinking of.

He seems too small to move up further, at least any time soon. He should just stick at 135 and focus on getting the best fights he can there.

From shits and giggles, here's another crazy vid:

I don't think I've seen a fighter walk through that kind of damage against a genuine puncher since Margarito/Cotto 1. Honestly, I think it's likely Floyd fought with loaded gloves like Margs did, as well.

Loma would be wise not to attempt anything above 140. Hed be murdered by several of them.

140 and below, hes running the show.

Doesn't Floyd wear Grant gloves because of the padding it offers to protect his hands as opposed to more of a punchers glove like Cleto Reyes?

I heard it's easier to load plaster of Paris in Grant gloves.

I was joking

i think 140 is pushing it, too. linares at 135 looked significantly bigger than him.

It is pushing it. But there arent a lot of dogs at 140. This is assuming Crawford is done there, because he would bury Loma lol.

So, we've established Spence, Thurman and Crawford are a step too far but let's say Porter has a belt or Garcia?

Porter is also a step too far. He's probably a tougher matchup than Thurman or Crawford due to his extremely physical style (hell, if Porter was Lomachenko's size I still think he'd give Lomachenko some problems). He might have an outside chance against a guy like Garcia (but the size coupled with Garcia's power would likely be too much).

Porter would maul him. Danny has a very good punchers chance. Huge difference in power there. Likely more than can be overcome.

Asking for any of those is too much.

Apparently he dislocated his shoulder in the second round of the Linares fight and will have surgery soon.

Ah shit. Dislocated. I thought he'd just tweaked his shoulder. That's impressive considering how he managed to carry on after injuring it so early in the Linares fight. Says he won't be fighting again until december due to the severity of the Labrum tear. That sucks but hopefully he gets better and comes back the same.

140 tops. I know Floyd and Manny have made greatness for small guys be in large part about moving up, but it doesn't really have to be. Floyd was always long and Manny was always thick and explosive. Loma doesn't have a physical advantage like that too keep moving up.
