Ankle weight help

I've heard stories that running in ankle weights will hurt your knees....Is this true ? I want to supplement ankle weights into my workouts for bjj.... what are some good exercises ?

i don't know what 5lbs could be used for to supplment anything. have you just tried running faster?
 
Ankle weights will hurt your knees. Forget about them and learn to lift for real.
 
I don't want my stamina to suffer due to lifting weights. That's why I was gonna use the ankle weights. I guess I'll have to trash them :(
 
Weights will not hurt cardio. Not doing cardio will hurt cardio.
 
I heard if you lift alot you'll lose stamina and flexibility ... true ?
 
doing deep squats or overhead squats will def increase ur flexibility

want to add a challenge to your run? forget the weights....run hill ironmans....

start at the bottom of a decent sized hill (40 yards or so) and make three marks (with trash, or leaves or cones) sprint 20 yards before the bottom of the hill and go to the first mark (15 yards up the incline) then immediately turn around, go to the bottom of the hill and turn around as fast as possible; sprint to the second mark and repeat. Once you have reached the top mark turn around and run back down the hill, sprinting out 40 yards from the base of the hill. Repeat this 5 times....
