this is for anyone on here w/ knowledge or experience with ankle injuries. i'm researching podiatrists in my area right now but was hoping in the meantime someone on here might have some advice.
i somehow majorly fucked up my ankle jumping rope last night. it was pretty sore as i was working out, but i just worked through the pain thinking it was nothing serious. as i was leaving the gym i realized that i couldn't even walk down the stairs. how the hell does this happen jumping rope??
anyway, i got home and iced it up all night, but i still can't walk on it and it hurts like crazy when i put pressure on it. i have a decent but limited range of motion and the weirdest thing is that there is no swelling whatsoever.
the pain is on the medial (inner) part in what i think is, based on this diagram, the plantar calcaneonavincular ligament, directly under the sustentaculum tail
anyone have any idea what i might've done? i've sprained my ankle a few times before and usually it swells and puffs up, but this time there is just a lot of pain in one tiny area.
