What do you guys make of Angela Lee? Here's an interview I did with her yesterday after that epic fight with Mei Yamaguchi. If you've not seen that fight you need to watch it now. I think it's one of the best fights of the year so far. As for whether she could mix it with the elite in the UFC? Hmmm not so sure. What do you think?

Great talent but pretty raw still.
She is extremely aggressive with submissions which is exciting but a high risk strategy. She needs to improve her technique a bit to finish talented grapplers....that's what I noticed watching the yamaguchi fight.
She also needs to fight smarter if she wants to beat really high level girls.

She seems like a sweetheart and she's really popular here in SG. Apparently shes making bank now in 1C and she's a champ...really remarkable.

She's hot too.

Nice interview. Below are my thoughts on Angela's current level, quoted from a different thread:

Angela fights at 115 lbs, they just call it atom weight in One Championship.

She just fought someone who actually fought so at atom weight, and had a great back and forth battle that she won. She's the true definition of a prospect. I'd say she has more upside than the likes of PVZ and Sage Northcutt.

Frankly,mi never buy into the whole, "how far can she go? She's not beating champion X, that's for sure." Line of reasoning, unless they're a top 5 fighter. Compare fighters to their contemporaries who have similar records, or around their rankings.

Angela definitely needs to continue working on her standup, which is very basic. Not sure who evolve has for that, but I think they have some legit MT instructors.

The biggest challenge for Angela will be finding her credible opponents. ONE isn't exactly a hot bed of talent in any division, let alone their lone female division. She and her brother are contracted to ONE/Evolve, but she'll have to eventually look elsewhere is she's serious about being a great fighter, which she does seem to be.

She seems like a star in the making, and ONE Championship is giving her a huge push. I wish they would remember they still have Ann Osman on the roster, as well.
