Anderson was a much stronger man than Adesanya.
He regularly sparred and grappled with HW's. He often sparred with the monster that is prime JDS(and back @ chute boxe he sparred Rua, Wanderlei etc.) for his muay thai, and spent countless hours grappling with HW Nogueira.
He was used to the feel of fighting big men. That is why he toyed so easily with top 3 LHW and former LHW champ Forrest Griffin.
He certainly would have beaten Jan. Unlike Adesanya he actually has KO power @ LHW and is a big threat off his back so he would have made it difficult for Jan's top game.
