Still a possibility? No reason for Dana to not make this fukn happen as their next fight(s)...He should push really hard for this. Tell them they are fighting eachother and that's that! Too many fights have never happened due to circumstance, this fight just has to go ahead before its too late/not possible. Peoples thoughts?

It all depends if NY state issues a license to hold the event. If they do, DW has already said just as recently as last week they're going to book Bones/Silva for MSG in November. I think it will happen.

Assuming they win their next fight, it's all about how much money Dana is willing to pay them. That's teh one fight they can squeeze as much money as possible from Uncle Dana.

I have felt for a while now that Anderson wants to see how Jones does vs Sonnen. If that fight lasts as long as Jones vs Belfort, I think Anderson will be all over it.

Is this November date realistic now given Silva's fight in July? That'd be 4 months in-between.

I was thinking (if it were to happen) maybe Superbowl weekend - or whatever their typical biggest draw date is around that time.

If that was truly what he believed, he would take bones at 205 pounds. If a fighter can beat a fighter and believes he can, he doesn't need a catchweight but Silva alludes to a 192 catchweight which is even silly to fathom and I don't think the fight gets done.

I dont think Bones will fight at catch-weight and silva wont fight jones at 205 so I don't think it happens.
