So, with both Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva coming off of two losses respectively is a fight between the two a more likely scenario now? I think this would be the perfect fight to have Diaz come out of retirement since he's already bounced around the idea of fighting Silva before, and I'm sure for Silva's camp they would think this would be a good match up for Silva to come back to and an awesome payday. What do you guys think?

I don't see Anderson wanting to fight Nick. And Nick would probably want a half million dollars. So no, I don't see it being more likely.

Anderson doesn't want to try and get the title anymore, he wants big money fights. This would be a bad ass fight and I think it's gonna be in serious discussion(In Anderson's camp) when Anderson is ready to fight again. GSP/Diaz/Bisping (Easy money for Anderson). He won't fight Vitor/Rockhold who are trying to get the belt.

Just thought this. From a $$/PPV perspective, it makes sense. Would rather watch that headline a PPV than Dillashaw / Barao.. Johnson / Bagautinov, especially to the casual fans.

500k is not that much money, especially considering the fact that if Nick Diaz can get you an extra 10,000 buys that's 400k right there. These guys deserve it.

It's a dream fight. Good for both guys and it's even better for the fans.

Simple arithmetic 10,000 X 40= 400,000, and a Silva vs Diaz fight easily surpasses 600k buys, so paying the fighters 500k is more than reasonable.

you think the ufc takes home 40 dollars on every ppv? ur nuts...

think of 1000 employees salaries... venues, advertisements.. fighter pay, ppv points, bonuses.. travel...

i would be shocked if they took home even 20 bucks out of the 55.

depending on the card... if they sold a million maybe it gets up to 40 bucks per.

since salaries are the same amount no matter the numbers, advertisements probably cost much more for a card that big.. and so on

you realize the total fighters insurance alone costs 13 million dollars anually or more right? just medical and rx...
