I highlighted the best stats of the three of them. That's an old post that I have now completed
Facts that we knew :
- Jones has more striking volume that the other two. He brings a higher pace and hits his target at an average of 4 times per minute. Nice.
- Silva is the most accurate, with 64% of his shots landed. He also is the most elusive of the group, as he absorbs only 1.59 shots per minute.
- Weidman tends to bring his wrestling skills more often than Jones, with 3.75 takedown landed per 15 minutes, so in a 3 rounds fight.
- Weidman also reminds us how good his ground game with the most submissions attempted
More surprising facts :
- Anderson is more efficient when he tries to bring someone down. 7 takedowns out of 10 are a succes
- We tend to forget that no one ever took Weidman down. Ok, he did not faced that many wrestlers but still.. Gustafsson and Cormier took Jones down, so even a striker can put an elite wrestler on his ass.
