Anderson Silva - The Uncontested GOAT

With all this PED drama running around I think we need to clear a couple things up regarding GOAT discussions. It's really unfair to have Jon Jones, Fedor and GSP in the same discussions as Anderson Silva when it comes to GOAT discussion as he has be found to use PED's. But lets be honest, anytime there's going to be discussions around who is the GOAT his name is going to be brought up strongly, it's really unfair on the other users who haven't been caught to be using.

You can say lets eliminate Andy from discussions but lets be real here he's going to be brought up in the discussions whether you like it or not.

The only way to resolve this, is to have two categories for GOAT - Super Human & Normal Human. I think this makes the most sense.

For the normal human's I don't think there's a real clear cut GOAT atm, I think Fedor and Jones are fighting it out for that spot but it's always going to be subjective i feel.

Out of the Super Human GOAT contenders - Anderson, Wandy, Vitor... who else? I feel safe in saying, Anderson Silva is the Super Human GOAT of all time.

I am so torn on this. Yes I am a Silva nut hugger, but he did break the rules. A man that I, and others admired has let us down. However he did give us some epic fights and we were all blessed by living in these times to see him fight.... but he cheated. At least once. I want to hope this was his only time, but you really don't know so that cast doubt on him IMO. But his fights were great!!

It's very simple.

With or without steroids the idea that Anderson Silva is the greatest and most skilled fighter the sport has ever seen is nothing short of laughable, and insulting.

He was a brilliant counter striker without much else to note. Great winning streak, very impressive, very, very good fighter and one of the best I've seen compete. But not even close to the best. He never was, but the UFC sold this idea to an era of fans that ate it up without putting an ounce of critical thought into it.

I'm happy it's over.

The tests haven't changed my opinion of him. Plenty of guys have taken roids and don't have nowhere near the kind of performances that Anderson has which leads me to believe that his highlights are a product of his own hard work.

IMO, Anderson Silva is still one of the greatest of all time.
