Anderson Silva suspended one year, retroactive to date of the fight, Jan. 31. (NSAC)

whats concerning is that black house/xgym/whatever the name is, is still using rogerio camoes as their s&c coach. erick silva is using him too, so, you know

What a joke

So he's free to fight again in a few months after not only taking loads of substances, but lying through his dick about it.

Bet the UFC and the NSAC are happy. MGM fight is on the horizon

we're all happy

Isn't a 1 year suspension the punishment for first time offenders? I don't see why everyone is complaining. Is normal.

UFC 196: Silva vs. Bisping
or
UFC 196: Silva vs. Belfort 2
or
UFC 196: Silva vs. Rampage
edit: or
UFC 196: Silva vs. GSP

Dunno how I missed that last one

same ppl complaining the punishment wasn't strict enough are the ones who hang onto every word Chael spews.

the irony is ironic.

Well hell if that's the case, would the UFC be able to put him on the card they do every weekend of the superbowl?

does anyone even want to watch Anderson fight after his limp performance against diaz? i wouldn't even want him as a co main.

legacy ruined ... can't be considered the GOAT in any conversation ...

the fine seems steep, but sends a message you can't cheat and expect to get a windfall of cash ... i am also fine with the 1 year suspension ...

I'm happy Anderson's suspension isn't too harsh, but I hate the idea of the NSAC taking $380k out of a fighters pocket.

Think of all the other matches where he might of cheated.

thats why i say his legacy is ruined ... if he came out and said right away, hey, i tried to heal faster from my broken leg, i showed some bad judgement, i accept any punishment ... he may have a shot at saving his reputation .. instead he said he did nothing wrong, had some tainted viagra (if that was a real story) and denied he ever took anything ... says a lot about his character and for that he could have always been on the juice

He'd never failed a pre or post fight test before, unlike Bonnar, Irvin, Griffin, Sonnen did when they all fought him and lost.

This is why the suspension rules had to change. Realistically this may have cost him 1 missed fight. Very low stakes.

He likely had a PPV share and the fight did well, so few hundred grand is a drop in the bucket. Slap on the wrist.

lance armstrong never tested positive either .. that he got pinched for at least

the ones that never tested positive? ever?

If you watched, you would know Anderson was never tested out of competition until he got busted. Are you suggesting he's the only fighter all these years that was never tested out of competition? Everyone else on the roster was tested randomly all these years?

Out of competition testing isn't even a year old at this point.

Nick Diaz said he wasn't tested at all in Canada and claims if he would have been he would have pissed hot for weed.

It's all speculation but it certainly looks like he had been juicing for years.
