Silva vs Sonnen 2 was a huge fight, thought Silva would lose the rematch after the late great submission victory in the 1st fight as he was getting up there in age, man was I wrong, Silva GOAT.

To be honest, the whole sonnen vs silva thing made me like sonnen more! I realised how hilarious he was on the mic and I've enjoyed his stuff ever since. Even his podcast is a good listen.

Very true. Remember, the first Chael fight followed the Demian Maia debacle. At that point in time, Anderson was not the beloved and universally respected figure he would become. People were legitimately asking that he, the reigning champion, be cut because of the performance. Dana was even promising to somehow make it up to the fans for such a disaster. This seems ridiculous in retrospect. Most of Silva's fights were finishes to that point.

Crazy in retrospect, really.
