Edited: The shots never landed

For those posting this gif as proof the punches landed, this was not even the same punch sequence. Different point of the fight.

Israel touching him at the end to see if he's actually there.

It's amazing.

I don't know how he ducked some of those head kicks which were so fast and set up well.

And this was supposed to be against his "new self".

Anderson on that gas station viagra again.

Anderson could of won. He was clowning this overrated bum.

Andy was doing this trapping/blocking technique that looked similar to Wushu, but I believe this was that American prison style martial art. I saw it once in a doc and it’s actualy a fairly well evolved form for very specific types of close quarter hand fighting. There is this weird frenzy blocking/trapping technique that looks very similar to what Andy was working last night.

it's so cool that izzy sees what's going up and just... steps back.

it's like he's thinking "this is some next level shit... i'm not gonna risk it"

That was a winnable fight for Anderson. He failed to pull the trigger often enough though, as he's done in many of his recent fights.

It’s actually based around a style of Filipino boxing and partially wushu. Anderson has said this himself.
It looks super questionable but apparently is a highly effective defense

I disagree. I think he put it all out there and was even wildly aggressive at some points. The clowning was to buy himself time and space because he didn't have a lot in the tank. That's why he started getting beat up a little in the third. Age is real.

Lucky he didn't get ktfo there I reckon.

There is no way in the freaking wide world of sports that Adesanya would even come close to a prime Anderson Silva. Even if Adesanya were the future (i'm not convinced he can beat some of the top 5) he will still be levels below the Spider that reigned in earlier days. And i was never any great fan of Anderson, mainly due to his show boating.
