https://www.mmafighting.com/2018/3/...nkova-returns-vs-kate-jackson-at-bellator-200
Anastasia Yankova is set for her first appearance of 2018.
The undefeated fighter will take on Kate Jackson (9-3-1) in a flyweight bout on the preliminary portion of Bellator 200, which is scheduled to take place at The SSE Arena in London on May 25. Officials confirmed the bout with MMA Fighting following an initial report by MMAjunkie.
A former Muay Thai champion, Yankova is 5-0 since moving to mixed martial arts in October 2013. It hasn’t been a completely smooth transition for the 27-year-old Russian who has competed in a trio of 130-pound catchweight bouts for Bellator despite being touted as a top prospect for their budding 125-pound division.
In her most recent outing at Bellator 176 last April, Yankova defeated Elina Kallionidou by unanimous decision.
Jackson will be looking to get back in the win column after seeing a career-best six-fight unbeaten streak snapped by Valerie Letourneau this past December. The nine-year veteran won her Bellator debut against Colleen Schneider last August at Bellator 182 when Schneider suffered a leg injury, and prior to that Jackson appeared as a cast member on season 23 of The Ultimate Fighter.
In the main event of Bellator 200, middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho seeks his fourth consecutive title defense when he takes on former UFC standout Gegard Mousasi.
See the updated card below:
Rafael Carvalho vs. Gegard Mousasi
Michael Page vs. David Rickels
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Roy Nelson
Phil Davis vs. Linton Vassell
Aaron Chalmers vs. Ash Griffiths
Chad Griffiths vs. Tom Mearns
