WTF - bulking, cutting - you are 17 years old kid. Train hard and eat healthy.

If you think moving form 12% bf to 9% body fat is one thing that is going to get you laid this summer, you don't understand women. Why hinder your training goals in order to lose 7 pounds or so.....

You also may want to start training and learning the proper skill set before you determine what is the "right" weight to fight at.....

Yes, 17 and bulking and cutting. Even before I started lifting, I wanted to know everything there was to bodybuilding/powerlifting as effectively as possible. Thus, immediately after I started lifting, I began supplementing/regulating my diet to great success. This is why I feel I've come as far as I have in 1.5 years.

Honestly, the BF% goal is more for myself than for chicks. I've never had an unflexed 6-pack, and I want one for the first summer of my life (HS senior year, why not?). I truly mean this, I've never had a hard time meeting chicks and while I'm sure it will add a little to the "wow" factor at the beach this summer, I'm really doing it because I want to.

I'll get right on reading those faqs. And yeah when I move to SD I'll be able to take MMA even more seriously than I will be this summer, as City Boxing is a pretty respected gym, and I'm sure the guys there will be able to provide me with some insight into what weight I really should fight at (although it would be nice to be the guy to knock Anderson Silva from his throne, assuming he can hang on to it long enough for me to get there, right? :D)
 
City Boxing has a good reputation. You mentioned that you had sparred and trained before; where did you do your stand up training?
 
Dude I weigh 170 at 6' - Im a skinny dude too but at least Im not a bodybuilding, body fat watching, wannabe MMA pussy ***. I train Muay Thai and Judo everyday Im not lifting and I actually spar with real fighters and Im not some delusional little American prick that thinks he can fight because hes seen Never Back Down.

My last squat set was 87.5kg which I did for 5 reps, 5 times. 2 plates is 100kg which is 12.5kg which is not 40 pounds. So youre a pussy AND youre stupid. Also Im going to call bullshit on your numbers, whereas what I lift can be backed by another member of this forum (a respected one at that) who lifts at the same gym as I do.

And lastly, your log has quickly become the topic of ridicule here so wether you leave or stay it doesnt really matter. We've had our laughs already.

And I never said it was 40 pounds. I said my starting set was over 40 pounds over your LAST (225 lbs vs. 181). Plus I had to lift it 4 inches farther.

And the only things I liked about Never Back Down were the chicks. There were literally titties EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately, you seem to think I'm one of those kids who wanted to start MMA because of this movie. I knew before it came out that it would most likely net me some negative feedback on this board simply because it would be assumed that I was one of those 'omg badass never back down EVER mma pulls bitchez' kids, but this level of hate is beyond what I could have dreamed of.

dont worry about these guys. ive been thinking about trying to cut weight. any tips on losing weight FAST or what kind of supplements/routines should i do?

Like Enright said, we're just trying to help you avoid unnecessary expenses, time and energy wasted. Don't take things too personal here. If you want to do MMA, I think that should have focus over looking good, whether it's for yourself or for the ladies. Seeing your own abs isn't gonna help your training, and the VD may end up harming your achieving your MMA goals instead. The abs and looking good may just come along with your heavy training and you just need to be patient. I'm sure it would be nice, but it really should be secondary, if indeed even something to worry about at all. Especially since you will be bruised and such at the least, it's really pointless to be concerned about looks enough to be dieting for aesthetics.

More pics aren't necessary, we just want to see you continue to lift heavy and eat more (vids would be nice for constructive criticism and encouragements) :wink:.

Chase I saw your DL video, I never knew you were such a beast! Im going to starve myself for 9 days so I can have teh ript abs which should be the deciding factor in our eFight (in real life).

Drink lots of water. Diet > cardio when it comes to dropping BF. Do whatever routine you want, a proper diet will help you drop BF on its own.

The way you put FAST in caps makes me think you want amazingly noticeable results quickly. A lot of people have had great success on all kinds of keto (low/no carb) diets. They force your body to ****bolize fat as an energy source instead of carbs while high amounts of protein prevent your body from going catabolic (degenerating muscle).

Easily, the most hardcore keto diet is the one I just started today (the one bringing all this hate at me). That would be the velocity diet. Protein shakes/fish/flax oil for 28 days. I posted all the information I think people would need in my first post.

Seriously though, this is gonna be a rough 4 weeks. So think about it before dedicating yourself to it, or any diet/workout routine really.
