American heavyweight boxing is officially dead

Jarrell Miller lost twice to a shot crocop, and he's now a top HW boxer. Insane.
Miller is barely Top 30 rated at the moment. You couldn't even call him a fringe contender. Years back he was somehow rated as a fringe Top 10 contender but subsequently popped for doping. Only two fights ago he got knocked out by a mediocre Dubois despite outweighing him by nearly 100 lbs.

A randomly resurgent Cro Cop (not so random, but we don't need to go into that) who had won most of his return K1 fights.

Mirko in kickboxing should not be historically underestimated. He could be found out, certainly. But those kicks were fucking devastating and it could change the whole mentality of his opponent.

Also, HW has the depth of the piss puddle at a urinal trough. Fatasses can compete with fatasses if they are big and tough enough. Then promptly get murdered by the actual, in-shape elite.

Wilder had half propped up the US HW scene for close to a decade now, you havent really had anyone in charge of the division since 1999 if your being honest, so its not a recent thing, its a quarter of a century since you had a dominant champion that people considered the best

Shot Cro Cop is generous. That man was on life support and still clearly beat Miller, twice.

I think Miller will always lose to the best of the division or just draw with a guy who hasn't cared since he stopped AJ

I guess a lot of this will depend on if Anderson’s head is really in the game, Louis and Lewis both lost fights, look where they ended up. I didn’t like how spoke so consistently about his exit strategy, kind of premature for a 24-year-old heavyweight.

I’ll say this about the kid, that joker can take a shot, and he showed some serious heart getting up after those lockdowns by that bruiser.

Another thing, he didn’t make any excuses.
As I’m typing this, I kind of think I like the kid more after seeing him lose. Strange, but true. Haha

I hope he keeps at it.

Anderson is talented but was too happy in his comfort zone living off the same highlight reel KO clip over some can, he never seemed to want a real challenge.

But if he changes his mindset, of course he can do some damage.

im surprised Anderson didnt go out cold, Bakole fuckin hammered him a bunch of times. he's got a good chin; no debating that.

oh also obligatory "boxing is dying" comment

Anderson always sucked, was a matter of time. I just didn’t think quite this soon. So good on Bokole ending that hype train, I don’t think dude will get better either… but who knows maybe the whole division will just get worse and he’ll be in the mix again.

Wilder is the one that hurts

People are still high on Richard Torrez Jr.

Anderson has a lot of talent and potential. He can come back and be relevant. I just don't know if he has the desire to.
He looked good in the loss despite the knock downs. He may be a bit undersized compared to the modern HWs. He took a lot of risk in that fight and it was risk taking that step up fight in the 1st place. We shouldn't write him off just yet.
He gave us a great fight & went out on his shield.

was Torrez the guy from the last olympics who failed to win gold, i remember being extremely unimpressed with him at the time but havent seen him since, he looked a bit small iirc

Torrez Jr is the next american hope.

Michael Hunter might be lowkey America's best HW right now lol
