Amazing new museum inaugurated in Cuba

Doesnt seems to be stopping them from building that museum thats for sure, the yankee empire just claims that they have an embargo, when in reality the emancipated workers just decided not to buy from America anymore.

I don’t know man with an embargo it seems it might be a little difficult to fill your Cuban museum with all that fine but cheap Chinese manufactured but built in America merchandise like they do in the Walmart zoos all over the US

Well considering that the only thing that the Chinese manufactured merchandise has that its "american" is the box, and the Chinese can manufacture those things too.

But if you see the video you will see that they even have an enclosure where you get the most realistic experience, in that place you can actually use evil yankee currency and buy capitalist junk from all those evil corporations.

My wife is Cuban, we live in Canada but we have a house here and are here for most of the winters to escape the cold and spend time with her family.

Are you saying that the Caribbean Evil Empire (Cuba) actually allows your Cuban wife to both leave and return to the island at will?? I thought Cubans were prisoners. And if they were lucky enough to escape condemned as traitors...?

Although some Cubans who have relatives living aboard, seem to be asking for currency so they can for once get the full experience and realize the horrible reality that awaits anyone who leaves the worker's paradise.

I needs the currency to sees theese museum that hates thes currencies.

Kinda what happens when you lose your sugar daddy and lack oil, diamonds or another "blood" resource to finance your government.

Cuba at this points lives off remittances and tourism.

That’s not too far from the truth, marrying a foreigner is one of the only ways unless you’re willing to swim off the Island. That Castro loving cuck Trudeau and my libtard Canadian government didn’t make it easy for us either, it was a long and difficult process. Meanwhile he’s more that happy to grant visas to terrorists and accept illegal immigrants if they’re from a Muslim country.... don’t get me started on that.

Your talking point is stuck in the 1970s.

The Communist Party abandoned their principles years ago because Cuba would collapse without remittances. That’s why many people like me wonder if the average Cuban even believes in communism. Because half the island is tied to people abroad making a good living in the capitalist world.

I can forgive you for that haha, most Americans or Canadians don’t really have any idea about the “real” Cuba. Is cool and all to go to varadero with USD but it’s a different story back in Palma Soriano with moneda nacional Jaja. Like I said I cried as a grown man for the first times in Cuba. My cousin an engineer showed me his diploma rolled up on a pvc pipe...he told me I’ll hang it when it actually means something, right now I can make double scrubbing toilets at the local resort. They still have the jeans we sent them in like 1998...fixing them up...That shit hit me hard. Not to mention little dogs dying of hunger in the streets and I got to go back to my nice ac resort. I haven’t been back since because it’s just terribly sad for me and I can’t take all the misery.

Yep my grandfather spent 9 years much of them
being tortured for being anti communist. He was a “free mason” but really it would be just a meeting of the “gusanos” to discuss politics. We all knew the castros sent their children to the finest schools in Switzerland while we went to “the best schools on earth” funded by communism. Americans think wow! Free health care, free school...free free free. They don’t know you spend your whole life paying the government back while you work for $1.20 a day, own nothing, and have no initiative to make yourself better. It is what it is. Been all over the world, nothing compares to the US......maybe St. Barths but that’s cause I’m a Caribbean boy at heart haha
@ultramanhyata will deny this.

Amigo we can trade these horror stories for days and it wouldn’t even begin to paint the entire picture. As you said, educated people with diplomas that they might as well use as toilet paper since that’s all they’re good for here.

I get why you don’t wanna come here anymore, it breaks my heart every time, but our son was born here and my wife is very close with her family so I’m kinda tied to Cuba whether I like it or not. I always try to help with whatever I can, I always end up bringing more stuff that I give away then stuff that’s actually for me, but it’s a drop in the ocean, there is 12 million people and each one has a heartbreaking story.

Where are all these “champagne Marxists” on this thread to tell us how great this system is and how evil capitalism is? Where is all the sjw’s to tell us how great equality of outcome is? Where is that mental midget AOC to tell us how much dignity there is in a socialism??
<{vega}>

I’ve almost been to every island island in the Caribbean (well not literally haha the Bahamas still has a bunch I haven’t gone to) and while Cuba will have my heart....there’s always more beautiful places to visit and have a good time without my conscience being destroyed.

Champagne socialists like your ol bernies, she guevara, shit even mark rufallo who already made his millions in the evil capitalist movie industry talk the talk but sure as shit won’t walk it. That’s the problem, they want to talk about it from their comfortable 1st world lives but don’t want to live it. They want the usual schmuck to though. You see I think these people are so bored with the over abundance in the US that they feel like “revolutionaries” going against the grain

Ya man I couldn’t agree more. All these woke celebrities wanna romanticize socialism, but none of them are renouncing their own wealth and comfort. Like Orwell’s animal farm, all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.

As for all the old Marxist like Bernie and snobby elitist intellectuals and idiot professors who are brainwashing these clueless kids at universities today, Orwell had them pretty well figured out as well.

“It may be said, however, that even if the theoretical book-trained
Socialist is not a working man himself, at least he is actuated by a love
of the working class. He is endeavouring to shed his bourgeois status and
fight on the side of the proletariat--that, obviously, must be his
motive.

But is it? Sometimes I look at a Socialist--the intellectual, tract-
writing type of Socialist, with his pullover, his fuzzy hair, and his
Marxian quotation--and wonder what the devil his motive really is. It is
often difficult to believe that it is a love of anybody, especially of the
working class, from whom he is of all people the furthest removed.”

George Orwell
-The Road to Wigan Pier-

This is a guy who self identified as a socialist saying this. Basically they don’t give a shit about the worker, their motivation is not love for the poor but resentment of those who are more rich than they are.

Is long-time regime favorite Felix Savon one of the children's guides?

I worked with a Cuban guy once, said he was actually on a tourist visa to the US because it was easier to get and would work that way and then he'd work under the table to send money home.

One of the most common complaints I hear from Cubans is about beef or the lack therefore, they often say you get in more trouble for slaughtering a cow than for killing a person. At the same time beef is served in the fancy hotels for tourists so its like a slap in the face to them. I have a special disdain for third world countries that treat tourists better than their own citizens.

Lol, dude...rod is just being cheeky. He's one of the biggest anti Cuban Communists on this board. Give it time though, there will be several first world communist sympathizers coming in to berate him soon enough

I'm interested what Trotsky thinks of the OP.

We're talking about state capitalism here, to be accurate, but your statement is still spurious at best. Quality of life in the USSR was much higher than in Tsarist Russia and much higher than in surrounding/similarly situated countries during the early and mid 20th century. Likewise, living standards in smaller outposts like Cuba and Burkina Faso outpaced similarly outpaced the pack. Even to this day, living standards in Cuba are much higher than similarly situated countries. For the former nations of Yugoslavia, prosperity and living standards were unprecedented and, for the majority of the nations, have still not been seen again.

Now, to be fair, retroactive studies by free market think tanks have posited (and I have not had much thought to vet or try to disagree) that the USSR's growth following the October Revolution would have been the same or greater if they had followed a free market playbook (however dicey and unpredictable that would have been, especially in a period between two world wars). However, that growth absolutely would not have been distributed in a comparable fashion, so while some would have lived much better, most would have lived worse.

If you ever find yourself in Santiago during carnaval you’ll see a lot of beautiful mixed ladies and a strong Afro-Cuban presence along with Mulatos

Well that’s in all Communist countries since they never have a surplus of food so things like meat are luxuries for visitors and communist party members

Goods in general are in shortage but meat seems to be the big one or at least the one everyone complains about

My grandma hustle beef for our province. While my grandfather was in prison she had to take care of three kids so she started making connections here and there and built up a nice reputation for herself. Think a female version of Morgan Freeman in Shawshank. When the “chivatos” would put her out for one reason or another she would hide the beef in a fake outhouse and go sit on it on when the CDR (committee of the defense of the revolution, basically neighborhood spies) came around. No one wants to go in “shit” for anything and she got away with that until we left. Btw yes you could kill a person and get less time in jail than killing a “state” cow

Welp I’ll be honest fucking is our form of entertainment. No movies or ice cream places to take the misses so yeah haha
