Amanda Nunes: Loss to Julianna Pena made me a better fighter

I think Nunes is definitely slowing down and will retire soon, but she is not done yet. Aldana is a worthy challenger, it should be competitive.

Awesome.

Every time I see an interview with her these last couple weeks it just makes me even more sure she is going to win this fight. She’s happier than ever and firing on all cylinders.

War Amanda!

Total warrior, GSP's loss to Serra was SO similar I believe her.
Except GSP was not still recovering from Covid, and dealing with a knee injury hampering training as well. And to her credit she doesn’t bring it up hardly ever.

But that doesn’t give clowns like @scoobster the license to pretend it isn’t a fact. That’s just hateful, and dishonest.

I like Amanda Nunes but she still shows no respect to Julianna Pena. She said she's not very good and didn't deserve the title, but the fact is she beat Amanda up and made her give up. I tried really hard to find it, but on either Twitter, Reddit or here on sherdog, someone posted a compilation of Amanda Nunes face after every title defense and she was pretty much clean faced for all of them except the 2nd Pena fight where it looks like she had a meat grinder go over her face. My point is, she should show a little more respect to Pena and Amanda comes off as more unlikable and petty about her loss every time she dismisses her.

She's done, i'll bring this post back up on sunday when she gets embarassed

Made her eat a better Acai diet.

The disrespect even after giving up in the 1st fight, Fuck her.

Still Pena is a dumbass for not letting that Win age well by giving Nunes a redo.

I think she underestimated Pena... Don't see it happening again.
She really seemed off that night. I guess it's always possible that she simply underestimated her opponent, but that just seems so out of character for her. I can't shake this feeling that she was really sick or something

Agreed. I see a second one being like Chael/Spider 2.

Legit win for Julianna, but Amanda just had COVID and gassed horribly. (Which would make sense for someone who just had COVID.)

like Valentina her time is done, she tapped to a piss weak RNC, time waits for no man
She tapped to exhaustion, and wait---- there was a rematch with different results.....

Not watching that, not so sure if a "better" fighter, but a safer one, she took her seriously the 2nd time, she basically went to pre-Peña Nunes imo, not better, but actually back to how she used to fight.

I have seen some talk about Nune's face from the rematch, damage came from a headbutt from Peña...and im no Nunes fan to be defending her, but she won the fight without much trouble other than a foul from her opponent.

What are you talking about? When Grasso let go, Vals face was beet red, and where the choke made contact with her neck, it was bloodless white.newspress-collage-7554805-1678050330005.jpg

Ironically insulting to Val too, saying that she would tap to a weak choke . Either she tapped or she slept, that simple.
