Am I wrong? - Jones, Maia, Cyborg, Cerrone

I see all of the above named winning. I think Jones and Cyborg have the best chances followed by Cerrone and Maia last.


Jones vs. DC: I think Jones will be on a tear and he alright beat DC once before. I also think DC is slowing down and although he has a good chin it can be cracked.

Maia vs. Woodley: I think the one that I'm most likely wrong on will be Maia vs. Woodley. Woodley has the better stand up and power and it won't take many defended takedowns from Maia before Maia is tired or hurt. However, Maia is like glue and if he can get Woodley down I think he would finish him rather quickly and easily. I think Woodley may come into this super cautious like he did against Wonderboy and it could allow Maia to get the TD and eventual win. We will know right away in the 1st round who is going to win by the first takedown attempt if Maia gets a chance to get one. If Maia's TD is defended, he's in big trouble. If his second or third are defended you know that he is going to quickly lose afterward.

Cyborg vs. Evinger: I think Cyborg will crush Evinger in the 1st round. This is most likely the easiest fight to predict, although if I'm wrong, then it would be a big shock.

Cerrone vs. Lawler: Although Lawler has more power in his hands I think Cerrone is far more well-rounded and Lawler's chin was cracked before Woodley put him to sleep. I think everyone saw Woodley putting him down.

I was wrong on the last UFC fights, but I think I'm right on these.


What do you think, am I right or wrong?
 
Cerrone's chin has been cracked too and Cerrone has worse boxing, questionable defense and less power, I like both guys and would be happy seeing Cowman win with a sub after rocking Lawler but I wouldn't confidently pick him at all...
 
I think it will be:

Cormier (almost 50:50, depends on jones' performance after lay off)
Maia
Cyborg
Lawler

I think cerrone is just too fragile, if Lawler can come out the gate with a blitz he could catch cerrones freshly cracked chin or pulp his liver with any limb he wants... his TDD is fantastic so I don't see cerrone working his slick ground game. Lawler is just too big, nothing cerrone has hits quite as hard as the shot tyron put on lawler last fight.
 
I'm not feeling your picks. I think you are wrong on all but Cyborg, easy win for Cyborg.

DC beats post USADA Jones. Jones was visibly smaller at the weigh - in and will not be able to defend DC's takedowns without the artificial assistance he had in the past

Lawler beats a smaller Cerrone - close fight but I think the size advantage will propel Lawler to victory. Cerrone is always a tough out so this is a tough one to pick.

Woodley KO's Maiia - Woodley is extremely difficult to take down and hard to keep down. I think Woodley keeps it standing and gets the KO.

Or at least who I will be rooting for. I like Lawler but I would like to see Cerrone win this one. I think he hurts Lawler with a head kick and then finishes him with a RNC.

What has Lawler done to decrease confidence in him besides getting caught by Woodley once? And USADA.

I like that post. Pretty much what I think as well.

But I don't like the line about Cerrone. The guy is +225 or something. He's the underdog for a reason. It's not like it will be a shock if Robbie knocks him out.

Yeah, I feel like Cerrone is undeservedly getting a hard time from Sherdog these days since he's popular and recently lost, all this flack towards an exciting striker who also has a slick ground game is weird.

Poor The Donald...
 
Im half expecting Maia to dominate woodley and get a RNC. Woodley backs himself into the cage often, which is where maia is great at getting trip takedowns

Wrong on 2 parts. Tyron will best Maia via KO mark my words. And Lawler should be able to KO cerrone.
 
Lawler hasn't fought in a while, so who knows how good he still is, but I favor him. He's going to be too big and hit too hard. Maia has a good chance of winning, but I favor Woodley. Good TDD and much better striking and power. This might be the closest fight of the night though.
 
DC win ( ring rust is real)
Maia win Tyron only has one game plan and back to fence is Maia's world.

Cyborg duh...........,,

Robbie kicks or punches Cerrones liver into his spine.
