Cerrone wants to fight in Colorado and Brown needs an opponent.

Lombard already sounds like he doesn't want it calling out Rory. Rory isn't gonna take it. Everyone else in the top 10 is booked up and no one is trying to see some shit like Brown vs Magny.

Give us blood. Give us a fight with the potential to bring forth 25 mins of nonstop violence. Give us COWBOY VS BROWN!!!!

    Cmon bruh really?

Obviously Cowboy moves up. Hes a big 155'er, its a short notice fan favorite sort of fight, much more plausible then Brown chopping off his arm to go to 155...

Would be a great fight but it's not the time in cowboys career to venture out. He's 1 win away from a title shot and needs to stay at 155.

?? Watched the press conference don't recall anyone specifically mentioning him fighting Brown, just that he wants to fight on that card

    Absolutely give it to Cowboy.

Perfect fight for him. He just fought so cutting weight is something he shouldn't be doing. Fighting at 170 would suit him.

Brown comes to bang, Cowboy comes to bang and the fans win.

Even if Cowboy loses, and he probably would, not one fan would hold it against him and the UFC shouldn't either with respect to the LW division and his position as a LW.

UFC would be crazy not to give Cowboy this fight.

He has no shot of actually sinning said belt though so who cares. Constantly fighting and entertaining the fans is where his marketability is. A loss wouldn't even hurt his lightweight ranking anyways.

Don't see how a loss to Brown in a short notice fight at 170 would hurt his chances though. There is not a fan on earth who wouldn't want this, and if he loses even by 1st rd KO give him Khabib next anyway his stock won't have dramatically dropped.

Somebody mumbled "maybe Matt Brown?" Cerrone said "hell yeah I'd do it" and looked at Dana.

That kind of grueling fight could take years off his career. Matt Brown is a monster with a chin. No reason to subject himself to that kind of beating from a naturally larger opponent, win or lose.

From a fan's perspective, I'd love to see it, but from Donald's perspective its the equivalent of suicide. The weight jump is just way too much to over come, and why ruin Donald's momentum right now? A loss, particularly a bad one could be devastating to Donald psychologically, not to mention how badly hurt he could get.

Just to put the weight disadvantage alone into perspective, take a look at boxing. In boxing a weight class jump is considered a very big deal, where both sides will argue tooth and nail over a pound or 2, and we're only talking about a 147er jumping up to fight a 154er.

Whereas with Donald and Matt its a 15 pound weight difference and will probably be even bigger than that come fight night.

I'd highly doubt the UFC brass is even thinking about this.
