Am I the only one who thinks Adesanya didn't land a single punch??

I know the stats say otherwise;

But I honestly didn't see Adesanya land anything other than leg kicks and maybe a few body kicks.... Not one time did he punch Romero in the face.

We're now seeing a common pattern with Adesanya that I've noticed: He is only involved in Boxing only exchanges if the opponent charges at him(See Kelvin and Bobby fights).. He actually will kick at the start or end of every exchange and immediately rushes to get back into kicking range. I know that he's a kick boxer and a long one so it makes sense but he avoids boxing only exchanges in the pocket at all costs. I can see Costa going to the body and giving him problems.

I saw a couple of straight lefts and rights. But not many

yole got a takedown wtf? right after the eye poke.

He had a few straights 1s idk if I could call them jabs... but they were blocked or missed and did nothing...probably just for looks and pointa

Hard to believe there were 88 total "significant" strikes landed in that fight. I would've guessed about half that.

How can you land one if you dont throw any and just run away whole fight? Stats dont mean shit

They said on the broadcast Romero had no scored takedowns. That was rnd 4 I believe. I was surprised to hear that but Izzy wasnt ever really grounded I suppose

It was a shit fight. Both guys did nothing. I know everyone has a hard on for romero but he threw like 4 haymakers the whole fight and two takedowns that he gave up on because he didnt get them right away.

Costa will be the champ.

Lol why do you think Costa will fair better

they both sucked
it was a terrible fight,
even if it was scored a draw, it won't change a thing,
because nobody want to watch that again

From what i saw is that israel didnt deal with heavy punches from a big powerful fighter very well. Thats how Costa fights but he keeps going where Yoel throws one or two at a time.

The co-main event was one of those fights where you hate to see either fighter take an L.

The main event was one of those fights where you hate to see either fighter notch a W.

Izzy was wary of commitment, but there were punches, not many, thrown and a few made it through. This was just a shitty matchup. Romero technically won, but didn't deserve to. He really needed to open up after the second. I just don't get why he can't incorporate more of his wrestling. Do it early, conservatively, just so the threat is actually there. Upset over this fight aside, Izzy is going to demolish Costa. Costa's fighting style is not conducive to long term success, and he plays right into Izzy's strengths.

Adesanya is so good he can win a fight without throwing a punch...

Adesanya is the Willie Pep of MMA confirmed.

the perfect summary of UFC 248

I see what you’re saying and he does have the power to hurt Izzy although i think Israel will matador him and put him away. Guys who come forward against him get finished easier.
