am I overtrained?

I have a fight in 6 weeks and I m 3 weeks in training hard right now....But for the second week in a row I feel like I m getting a cold and feel wore down....I train Monday cardio, Tues bjj, Wed bjj and lifting in morning, wrestling at night....Thursday muay thai and bjj in morning, bjj and wrestling at night....Friday and Sat off...Sunday hard mma sparring and lifting....The problem is on my day off's I still work...I work Mon Tues Fri Sat fulltime working outside doing some hard work....So I dont know if I m overtrained or having bad luck with getting colds...But I m taking a few days off completely and see how I feel...Has anyone felt like this and is there anyway to combat overtraining....thanks
 
Maybe you should reform your training schedule and try to condense some of your training to get some of that much deserved rest, but I admire your work ethic, im not lazy myself, if i dont have anything scheduled im training, but then again im in high school you have much more on your plate than a teenager, anyways good luck with your fight.
 
this has been my schedule for about 9 months other than the cardio on monday I usually took it off....Hopefully I m just unlucky getting sick because I want to train....
 
You should take more time off. Seriously.

If you only ever give your body a few hours to recover from the previous workout, it'll just never recover.
 
I've found that anything more than two a days and my body just goes into an overstressed state. Balancing in resting and taking care of your body is a huge part of training.
 
If you have to ask whether or not you're overtraining, then you aren't. Overtraining is accompanied by almost complete disruption of the CNS. You would absolutely know it without any doubt if your were actually overtraining.

How many calories are you eating? How much sleep are you getting? I can say definitely not enough of either to recover from the activity you are doing.
 
thanks.....I have taken a few days off and feel better....My body doesnt really ache at all.... I feel pretty good now however I think I caught a cold that is going away...I work fulltime going into customers house fixing equipment so I have to keep my hands clean
