Not only are you not wrong my friend, you're right on the money. A big part of it I think is Dana and Lorenzo living vicariously thru this man. Conor is probably quite a bit like what they wished they were.

A young talented polarizing character that people seem to love or hate. Because of that they are keen on having him around because it makes 2 old guys seem relevant and hip.

It is pretty appalling tho to see them play favorites like this. UFC, professional fighting that is light on professionalism. Especially their prez/commish.

I kinda disagree with what you said about Dana and Lorenzo wishing they were Connor and live thru him. I don't think that's how it is at all. I think Lorenzo is more than comfortable in his own skin. Dude is a frickin billionaire. Why would he want to be a piss end fighter? (that is not knocking Connors skills as a fighter just the occupation compared to Lorenzo) Like I said. They just get a huge kick out of the guy and as long as Connor knows his role he will continue to be their little pet long after his fighting career.

Conor is one of the best FW's in the world, like him or not. He`s also one of UFC`s most popular fighters. Obviously that's the reason they keep him around, not because he entertains them like a "prank monkey" would.

I don't doubt Dana and the Fertita's like his personality, but if he didn't fight so well then they wouldn't care about him at all. Give the man his credit.
