So, I was at the dog park and this dude came in with a big, goofy male Labrador. Hershey ('cause all chocolate Labs should be called that) wasn't neutered. Muttly starts doing some essentially harmless dry humping on a couple of other dogs and the owner smashed him and started biting his head.

I've never had male dogs (too much Red Rocket to deal with) so I may be wrong, but this seemed a little silly to me. I've always believed that dogs don't really understand cause and effect. Furthermore, why would the dog understand getting smashed by another animal that he wasn't trying to dominate? If your pup is bowing up to you, I completely understand "speaking dog" and roughing him up, but sheesh. Glad he didn't hit his dog, or I might have bit the owner on the head.

Anyone out there have experience and anecdotes for this?

Too much red rocket to deal with? LOL what kinds of dealings we talking?

Dang, walked into that one. So I don't get grounded again, I'll just say that I'm not a fan of the Dog + Arousal + My Leg equation.

.....the owner bit his dog?

Yeah, he absolutely did. I've known a few people over the years that had wolf-hybrids and they swore that you had to act like a dog when backing them down. Their argument was always, "mother dogs bite their pups when they act up" or some such. Doing that with a Labrador? I'm skeptical.

Lol @ biting the dog.

Arg. Where's that "delete OP" button?

You can edit your post.

But I'm saving this for posterity.

I would never take the coward's way out. That said, I was just searching for a good walk of shame GIF.
Hespect.
