If you read through the comments, a huge amount of them are just about how no one cares about Dana's stupid trading cards, and want him to either strip Jon Jones, or make Jones/Aspinall. I think we should all do our duty and go over there & shitpost on Dana White, or at least upvote the Jones/Aspinall related comments.

If Dana's X is flooded with hate he might actually do something.

Is Tom getting paid three times this year to sit out?

Tom is 100% getting paid out for the past year.

Best guess, they make him sign before the end of July to skirt the payout, to keep a holding pattern until Jon signs later in the year.

After Jon does not sign within a stipulated timeframe (the optional event dates) Tom will push for his money in Sept-Nov.

Likely, whatever he signs before August, will nullify any disagreement about his situation versus the UFC's situation (regarding two belts).

He is going to get paid late (for sitting out).

Either they add $100-150,000 to his fight purse to make up the payment, or they will be stuck paying him out if he decides to pull a Francis.

Against a dude who has never sold a PPV. Basically one of two things is happening. The UFC is doing this to get people to drum up interest in the most unknown prospect to challenge a person considered at the top or the UFC is just stalling him out until he demands another fight. Personally I don’t care either way as there isn’t much I care to see at HW and the crying is currently more entertaining than what we have if either Jones or Aspinall wins. If Jones wins there really is zero intriguing matchup that would sell after. If Poattan somehow beats Ank maybe the casuals want him next. If Tom wins Gane Aspinall would be a decent scrap but not huge.HW is abysmal

The UFC wanted Jon Jones to fight Tom @ UFC 317. That was the original plan. Jon fucked that up, and Dana had to basically strip GOAT Makhachev of the title because crybaby Topuria wouldn't accept an interim title fight to save the event.

I don't see Dana going that far to build up Tom vs Jon. I think Jon genuinely has no interest in fighting Tom, and has told the UFC "Pereira or retirement".

That's what he meant. He was going to revolutionize boxing by gutting the Ali act and bringing back the Don King draconian contract era to boxing.

Dana operates like Putin does in Russia. He doesn't explicitly state what he wants to do, and instead uses propaganda spin. Like Russian "de-nazification" of Ukraine is really just code for Russia wanting regime change and a literal veto over who can hold political office in Ukraine.

Hopefully more people realize the Dana-Trump-Putin connection, and that Dana belongs in prison.
