The hype around him before the Garbrandt fight reminds me of Luiz Cane. Their careers have been pretty similar.

No way he was getting out of that round.
Almeida's striking defense is suspect and allowed that clean shot. However most people wouldn't have been able to recover from that temple shot within the round.

It’s not even so much his chin....it’s his DEFENSIVE boxing. His offense boxing his pretty damn good, but his defense is just not to the level in needs to be to be an elite BW in the UFC.
