All this talk of Ronda and Floyd, but you all fail to realize

that while Floyd was accused for a long time of ducking Pacquiao (over pretty much the same issues as Ronda/Cyborg), he still fought him. Meanwhile, Ronda is still ducking...

 

Dana will get the fight made. It's the only women's fight out there that will draw money.

UFC is pretty bad at making super fights so blame them. Dana promised countless super fights and never delivered unless you count Faber vs Edgar as a super fight.

 

Just hope Cyborg isn't slower and lacking killer instinct like Manny was when Ronda finally fights her. One disappointing ultra hyped fight is enough for me.

 

Floyd never ducked Manny. Floyd would never have struggled with Manny, at any point in his career, any more than he did during their actual fight.

I don't think Ronda's ducking Floyd. That's a bit of a ridiculous assertion.

 

If the UFC wasn't willing to create a super heavy weight division (265+) for a huge PPV draw like Lesnar, but forced him to cut 30+ pounds, it seems unlikely they'll create a 145 pound division for a much, much smaller PPV draw like Cyborg. They'll treat her like Brock, and tell her to cut weight to fit into an existing weight division.

And in terms of ducking, Cyborg can have the fight if she goes down in weight, Rousey can have the fight if she goes up in weight. They're either both or neither ducking.

And for a fair fight, they have to be the same weight at cage time. That means either Rousey has to put on 5-10 pounds of muscle, or Cyborg has to lose 5-10 pounds of muscle. I can understand why neither is thrilled about that - gaining or losing 5-10 pounds of lean mass for a prime, 150 pound athlete is no easy thing.
