As far as I know Conor always moves in straight lines as well. He charges forward, puts pressure on his opponent and moves in a straight line. His punches may come from different directions but his movement seems pretty straight to me.

Am I wrong and if so please explain it to me.

wow a Conor fan who is willing to be unbiased in their matchup.

Butt touch game must involve reach around.

You joined not so long ago + you have Conor AV = looks like a Conor nuthugger. But you are not acting like 1000000 others of them on Sherdog. Don't want to insult anyone, i'm just really curios.

On topic. Yeah he attacks only in straight lines unlike Wonderboy, Condit and other truly exceptional strikers.

Expect a lot of middle fingers in a straight line.

except when Condit fought Nick Diaz he did a sh*t ton of moving to avoid getting into a boxing match, hopefully McGregor doesnt do that tonight

I am thinking of getting a poodle and naming him Fido.

Wonderboy looks in a class all his own right now in the striking department. I picked Hendricks to beat him, couldn't have been more wrong.

Condit is a good example in the sense that he's not nearly the athlete many of his peers are - Georges, Woodley, Lombard etc

He makes up for it with truly impressive footwork, technique and unpredictability.

Truly that. I've never ever seen striker as elite as him in MMA. Ever.

So elusive, fluid and deadly with his combinations it's a pure joy to watch. Wonderboy is the God of movement compared to others including popular around here Conor.

Hope he gets his title. We deserve such champion

he doesnt though, he cuts off the cage.... cuts angles etc

none of which Nate does

Conor's debut and Poirior fight say otherwise, though he may switch up his stuff when needed. I see McGregor definitely getting tagged but may land some hard shots like RDA did. What kind of kicks Conor would use I have no clue. His kicking range is basically Nate's punching range.

Please, one TKO of post-USADA John and all of a sudden Thompson is the greatest striker of all-time? You guys are fucking crazy, he has about 10 unthinkable knockouts to go before he even approaches Anderson level.

Does he? If he does it's certainly not a big part of his game. I've watched all of his fights and the most distinct pattern is the continuous charging forward.

You don't need to see 15 title defences to recognise fighter's exceptional skill and talent.

Btw Hendricks is no Forrest Griffin.

He's only moving straight when he throws a strike down the middle. He moves to the left and right constantly while putting together combinations. He's certainly nothing like Diaz where it's all forward and backwards motions.

Exactly. Did it take a striking expert to tell that Anderson Silva was an exceptional stiker after his very first fight in the UFC where he got a flawless victory against Leben? Go back to Japan where there's easier fights! lol
