Everyone who have attended on lower mma-promotions and have been following that in almost a decades have once experience this conversation about everyone is scared to fight a specific fighter. I can for instance take the allstar fighter Jonathan Westin

His situation according to journalists and his management was that "everyone in Europe are scared to fight him" and yada-yada but in reality it was

- Potential opponents were offered less then 1000 $ to fight him and in some cases on short notice
- Jonathans management were asking for 4000$ to fight and can only accept a fight with 8-12 weeks notice

So if Jonathan wanted to step up he should

- Accept a fight on short notice
- Be open to fight in all promotions

In the end he got a contract in PFL and for destroyed in less then 6 weeks .

But all this "everyone is afraid to fight X-fighter" is always about (please accept a fight on short notice and as low money as possible because my fighter wants to best the shit of you).

We have all experienced this as a fan, manager and a promoter, they should be more open to the reason and that is why i am making this post.

I mean , of course there is a heavyweight who can fight Tom Aspinhall on 1 weeks notice for 500$
