You understand if a cop is in hand to hand combat then he is in a position to have his gun stolen and killed by one of the potential BLM martyrs. Cops are one of a very few group of people putting their lives at risk for the general safety of society.

I wouldn't say its a small percentage at all. In the same amount of time that the US has been in Iraq and Afghanistan, US LEO's have managed to kill more Americans than the insurgents overseas have.

In a war zone where insurgents are actively trying to kill Americans, the US LEO's still kill more.

2015 was the 2nd safest year on record for US LEO's with only 34 deaths, while we see a consistent rise in the amount of citizens killed.

Its a disturbing trend IMO.
