All kidding aside anybody reserached horse meat?

I don't think I'd have a problem eating horse... but at the same time I really have no desire too either.

Obviously, you're not hungry.

About 10 years ago my uncle had a young bobcat he found and raised it. He fed it 2.5lbs of horsemeat a day. He bought it from a slaughter house in 5lb ground bags. It was frozen and he'd chop it in half with a machete and throw in in the cage still frozen of the bobcat to eat later. He reintroduced back into the wild.

The bobcat was the largest one I'd ever seen. It was huge for a bobcat, probably close to 40lbs. It also never lifted.

I stayed in Scandanavia for wrestling for a whole month, and ate it every single day. Its good, but they eat oxen there as well, and oxen steak is far better than horse or beef.

We can't get OX here either? I could have sworn I've had OX tail soup before

whatever other "unsupported nonsense" (hell of a blowhard thing to say, by the way) you happen to spot.

Why don't you take a look at what I was responding to? The unsupported comment was in relationship to another poster's characterization of the supposed benefits of horsemeat.

The World Health Organization has recognized rabbit meat as the leanest meat in the world, and one of the healthiest. Alligator meat is pretty lean too.

It's the cultural significance of horses, dogs and cats being raised as companions and co-workers to man in the case of horses and dogs. It's one of the reasons we differentiate them from "livestock" like cattle, pigs, chicken and sheep which are bred specifically for use as a food source from the very beginning.

Doesn't really matter anyway, because eventually we're all gonna be living on Soylent Green due to overpopulation.

I've got no issues eating them. I tried horse meat in France once and loved it, shame they don't sell it anywhere over here.

Next best meat I love is Ostrich biltong (jerky to any murkins). Tasty and very, very lean.

Of course we can get ox tail in the usa, it is at your local butcher right now. Oxtail isn't actually from an OX, it is just a name for the tail of beef.

And for the horsemeat, i would eat it for sure, never did but when i was in switzerland i saw it at the supermarket everyday.

i've seen way too many disney movies, no way i'm eating(insert random animal not sold in costco). pffffft. cultural ignorance for the win!

You must have missed the thread a while back where someone was claiming performance gains based on how fast the animal was that he ate. Classic D&S.

Also, EndoGlo brought a great thread to my attention in the conditioning forums. Apparently there's some debate on whether having the window open or shut at night will affect metabolism (and rest) positively or negatively... very high level stuff here.

:)

Wait, what's wrong with the window thread ? I started it.

About topic, I come from Qu

psh..I disbelieve that a bobcat could break the 35lb barrier without some kind of properly structured weight training programme. Or at the very least a poorly designed programme but lots of effort put into it.

I've eaten raw horse meat on a number of occasions. I wouldn't recommend it in general, it was chewy. Raw red meat isn't something you'd want to be knawing on for a long time.

Horse meat isn't bad. I had in while living/studying abroad in Iceland. I wish it were available for human consumption in the states, just as another regular meat alternative. But then again, I've also eaten coyote...

researched it? its leaner than turkey/chicken and just as high if not higher in protein. tastes pretty good to! =D

Anyone know how much it costs? It's legal for sale here so I might try it
