I like it, nice test for Sterling on his way up.
Easy win for Sterling. Sterling by decision
nice fight, Aljo needs to watch out for Manny's stalling techniques.
a washed up manny loses to a prospect...
Good test for Sterling, I dig this fight. But dammit I was really hoping they'd make Gamburyan/Yahya
Funkmaster via UD
That would've been good too, but as you said, this is a good test for Sterling. He wins this, move him on to top 15ish competition. Maybe someone like Erik Perez, Alex Caceres, etc.
Aljamain all day
It won't happen but given the scarcity of "names" at 135 lbs, I'd put this on the main card and get some people familiar with Sterling.
Nice, haven't heard from our boy Funkmaster in a while, in or out of the octagon. Looking forward to his return in the cage.
I think this is a good match-up for him to win, win with style, and move up the ranks in a responsible fashion. He can use his counter-wrestling, length, and kicks to win on the feet. Set up the kicks this time my friend! Wouldn't want to eat one of those patented Gamburyan power rights down the pipe, even if you can. Probably a comfortable decision here. Maybe a ko or follow-up sub if the time taken off due to the arm injury was used to drill kicks repeatedly to continue to make them more powerful.
Yeah I was just thinking that too, not only is it a good test, but a good fight to move him into some bigger fights. I just think Manny/Rani would have been I great scrap. And it made great sense.
Good fight, good next step up for Funkmaster. I think he runs over Manny and then its on to top 15 BW.
Add Edgar vs Mendes or Lamas and Jim Miller vs Punk or Alvarez and its good to go. I'd even be down with Manny/Funkmaster kicking off the main card and giving Sterling some big exposure.
But its likely gonna be a prelim fight which is cool.
Hopefully Sterling's nagging injuries are healed up. I want to see him back in the cage.
I like Sterling. One of my new favorites.
I like this fight. Got Aljamain
Good fight, go Sterling, but I find it odd that they announce fights for a card that will happen more than a month after a card that doesnt even have a venue or an headliner yet.
Another squash match for Sterling... yawn.
Manny is way over the hill and incredibly slow. Cody Gibson had to practically gift wrap that guillotine to Manny after dominating the majority of the fight.
Have Sterling fight someone relevant like Garbrandt or Michael Macdonald... heck feed him to Sergio Pettis.
Finally man. Aljo needs to stay active.
He should run through Manny.
