During his hiatus, the hulking Dutchman aligned himself with Jackson's MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Assuming he proves to be a team player, Overeem could find himself training there for a September return, which may or may not be in Japan, based on comments Fertitta made to ESPN:

"Alistair is looking to return in September. We haven't finalized it yet, but he's expressed an interest in fighting in Japan. I don't know if we'll have a spot on the card for that, but I would expect him to come back in that time frame."

Im having fantasies of Nelson getting hurt and Reem replacing him against Hunt-o. Not that im unexcited for Hunt/Nelson, mind you.
    But a man can dream....

It should be against Barnett. However, I'm not ruling out the possibility of AO getting matched up with a human punching bag to entertain the Japanese crowd, someone like Rothwell.

Wouldn't mind this. Bigfoot's suspension should be over by that time so it makes sense.

Strongly believe that Overeem would finish Bigfoot in a rematch as well.

At some point i'd like to see Overeem vs Cain for the title. So hopefully his fight isn't against JDS. Josh Barnett, Stefan Struve, Bigfoot Silva, Travis Browne, Ben Rothwell, Brendan Schaub, Andrei Arlovski, Stipe Miocic. These would all be acceptable fights.

Then we would be looking at the first case of involuntary manslaughter inside the UFC Octagon, and Overeem would be guilty.

Overeem moving to Greg Jackson is a really good move in my opinion.
I hope to see some more of the old Overeem, not the cocky guy that loses unnecessarily.

He'd wreck him. Roy would have a pretty hard time landing that haymaker right from the clinch.
