I saw them both together in a double-bill at the cinema, late 80s. I loved Predator, but Aliens is just unprecedented as a sci-fi action movie. The design, music, and characters combined with a rollercoaster-like journey of tension and excitement, make Aliens the best of it's genre for me.

50/50. personally, I could go either way. depends on my mood.

if I want ultra, testosterone fueled, ultimate Alpha male movie, I'll watch Predator.

If I want sci-fi adventure, with a splash of "horror", I'm going with Aliens.

truly a 50/50 debate.

Aliens is pretty much my favorite movie of all time, Back to the Future would be right there with it. Although, Predator is up there as well, just watched it recently on AMC. What a classic! Not surprised with the voting thus far. Both are 10/10 movies.
