    What's funny?

    He beat Fedor, Big Nog, and Cain.

    Plus, Ali is his manager so no surprise he'd say that.

    He has those big wins. But also those losses.

    Honestly would have him over Fedor and right behind Stipe Legacy matters, hope he doesn't wreck his record the same.

    Werdum is elite, but there are quite a few ahead of him

    Fedor, Stipe, Reem, Ngannou, DC, Cain, JDS etc..

    I would say -

    Stipe - Reem - Fedor are all tied for 1st place.
    Then Werdum - JDS
    Then everyone else.
    I personally have Stipe and Reem over Fedor. If Werdum picks up another 1 or two good wins he is over Fedor in my eyes as well.

    I hate Ali, but he isn't too off the mark here.

    You could knockout the best of all time when they were each 40 and then have a record of 8-20. Try to focus on context, if your brain is capable. Werdum is highly overrated.

    Fedor reading this would still be like this though:
    <Fedor23>
    Besides Fedor, Stipe>Werdum

    I can't take anyone seriously who doesn't say Werdum is in the discussion.

    It's a historically paper thin division that continues to shuffle around old farts to this day. Only a handful of guys beat the best combination of peers and Werdum is one of them.

    IMO there is no such thing as GOAT because of the generational nature of MMA. You can only really be GOAT of a period of time. Suffice to say, at one point in time Werdum was the best overall of his peer group.
