Interesting. Volkov usually towers over everyone at 6"7 but Gus is 6"5 and is much more athletic.
Also if Gus doesn't have to cut weight he could come in strong at like 230 or 235 maybe.
I think Gus is just a much more skilled fighter.
Volkov is a decent HW though. I can't wait to see his run.
But Gus is a top 4 LHW(behind only Jon, DC, Phil) while Volkov is probably between 10 or 15th best HW.
Volkov might get tired by the third round with Gus dancing around him firing off jabs. Gus has the heart and cardio to outlast him. Gus has been in a lot of wars.
Unless I start to see something different out of Volkov in his next fight or two i think Gus is just so much more polished and so much faster and Volkov wont be able to capitalize on his reach like he always does.
