Alexander Gustafsson: "I knew it all along" regarding Nog would get injured in camp

or Dan Henderson should he win against Vitor.

Nog scheduled for a fight is becoming like the return of motivated BJ.

Its hard to get hyped for his fights anymore.

A lot of people here used to post 'In B4 Lil Nog pulls out the fight/get injured etc.' in early Gus/Lil Nog threads, I guess they were granted little wizard powers all along. I think the fight makes the most sense, but Lil Nog's body is slowly giving up on him

Little Nog should probably consider retiring. Not to be hater, and I know he's coming off of a big win, but how many times can you pull out of fights before you're a scheduling liability?

Gus is right in predicting this would happen, because he's pulled out of a shitload of fights in his UFC tenure and Gus really wanted a big name fight to get him back in the #1 contenders seat while his competitive fight with Bones is still fresh.

Not questioning Li'l Nog's integrity or anything, but he can't keep his body in check to honour fights much these days.

Could be time to have that fight with Mousasi that was cancelled the first time.

Lil Nog should just retire

I think something might have gotten lost in translation. He meant that he knew the day after the bout agreement. Not that he knew Nog would get hurt beforehand, implying that he gets hurt all the time.

As a fan you should probably not want the Cormier fight. That would seriously risk a rematch with Jones, not to mention knocking off another legitimate contender if Cormier loses.

Yeah what he actually said was that the day after the bout was announced, he got told Nog was injured and wasn't gonna fight. So he knew this "all along", which means the last few days. He didn't imply he knew Nog was gonna pull out before he even accepted the fight or anything.

If TS is Swedish, he fucking sucks.

Hes that injured hes pulling out of a fight in March?

Maybe he should hand in a schedule detailing which dates he will be injured and which dates he will be healthy in the next 3 years. Of course that depends on his opponents for those dates.

Stuff definitely seems to get lost in translation with swedish to english as far as my limited understanding can tell. I've leant a little swedish and my brain still works in direct translation for phrases like this. For instance here I read: I knew it always. (or all time)? From there it seems to be a case of finding the most appropriate english equivalent phrasing, where inevitability things seem to get lost.

edit sorry for off topic, learning a new language is new to me so I'll ramble on about to anyone willing to listen

Everybody knew this was going to happen. It always does.

You could translate it like that, if you didn't have the context, i.e. the rest of the article. Then again, there are a lot of misleading thread titles on sherdog in general, so. ;)

Why are you learning swedish? If you want you could try replying in swedish to get some practice. :D

I tried reading the rest of the article, I could understand very little of it unfortunately. I'm a beginner, (as stated in previous post) :)
