Media Alex Pereira doing Brazilian capoeira and wrestling

His capoeira looked just as stiff and poatan as expected. And thats awesome. I mean that in a good way.

The coolest most real guy in the UFC right now imo

His movement was so bad it's funny <lol>
Capoeira is a dance (ok, a martial art disguised as a dance), and mofo is there stiff as a board with high guard <lmao>

Yeah. He is built for killing people in the ring or cage with calculated power bombs from hell. Smooth flowing capoeira is not for his body type.

But he is a good sport in trying it out. Cool to see.

Heh, cool.

Doesn't seem to be self-conscious about "looking bad online" with his moves there at all - which is what one would expect from Pereira. 0 fucks given about the online yahoos and their ilk.

He looked good those guys were scared to even throw a real kick near him don't blame em

His ginga needs a little work, but next I want to see him dance samba no pe!

That’s where these guys are going wrong. I think Jon has become somewhat cowardly in the last few years because he cares way too much about opinions, about protecting his status. He won’t take any risks because he’s terrified of giving his detractors what they want. I don’t even think he himself cares all that much - he can’t really if he’s being so openly calculating in how he conducts himself

Alex vs Israel in a capo contest would be fun :)

I think Jiri could benefit a Lot doing capoeira...
In This video they focused more in the cultural/dancing aspect.
But is a very unpredictable figth with a lot of movement and spinning attacks, the kicks came from a very strange angle and carry a lot of tork

No. Jiri need to work in boring but very useful and important fundamentals. For a long time.

No capoeira, ninjutsu, aikido, or sitting in a cave like a meditating anime character.

He needs to hit up his fellow Brazilian Pereira on how to do capoeira like a boss.

one of the main reasons why guys like alex (and hendo for example) have so much power is because they have tight tendons. I used to lift for strength and also kickbox. one year I started doing yoga for flexibility and it helped me kick higher but my power went noticeably down.
