Caceres has shown to be a very athletic and unpredictable fighter, but does he really stand a chance against a legend like Faber?

You could always say he has a puncher's (or flying tornado kick's) chance but can Caceres really overcome a battle tested, uber experienced Faber?

He doesn't even really have a punchers chance. Alex Caceres does not hit hard. Not even remotely, and Faber has a very good chin and is tough as fuck.

Alex has like 5% chance of Faber getting injured or maybe being able to leg kick enough Faber to steal a decision. One of the most lop sided fights in UFC history.

I think 'very athletic' is a stretch. Faber is twice the athlete Caceres is, and I give him virtually no chance at winning this fight, he's not fast enough, he doesn't hit hard enough, and he's not a good enough wrestler to stop Faber. Faber via however he feels like winning.

If Caceres can keep it from being complete domination on Faber's part then I'll be happy.

I'm going to look at this as i looked at TJ vs Barao, i'm just going to compare their previous perfomances without any thought about level of competition. wich led me to believe that tj was the second coming of Cruz when he faced easton, in hindsight, i might just have been lucky with that perspective, haha.

I'm gonna throw $10 on caceres just for kicks

I like both dudes, and don't think caceres can catch faber with anything, BUT you never know hehe

It'll probably be one of those fights where Caceres puts up a fight, gets finished eventually, but looks impressive and raises his stock. He's consistently getting better, it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't see how he can win this to be honest, and I'm a fan of the guy. Faber is just too good everywhere for Bruce Leeroy.

Right after TJ Grant against Barao right?

IMO the only way he does it is via sub. Faber has a great sub defense, but Cacares has a relentless guard. That or use his range to stay on the outside.

Its a tall task for him though.

Faber on paper seems like way too much for BruceLeeRoy. In my mind, on the computer, live, and in imagination land Faber is too much for him. This is MMA however and anything can happen. Putting some money on this fight for sure.

lacks strength against Faber.

I think Caceres will fare better against Faber than people are giving credit for. Whilst it's true Faber is a polished fighter with a lot more experience, Caceres has improved tremendously from his TUF days. And even though Caceres is still very sloppy, he is pretty fast and explosive. One mistake by Faber could mean a knock down by Caceres with sequential TKO strikes. Although Faber probably learned a lot from his fight versus Mike Brown, he got careless and got caught.

It would surprise the shit out of everyone including Caceras .. very little chance at all he makes it out of the 1st

It's a long shot, but I'm picking alex in this fight. Definitely don't see him finishing faber though.

If you've seen Caceres fight and if you've seen Faber fight, you would know Caceres doesnt stand a chance in hell.

Mark my words, this match will be similar to Mendes versus Mckenzie. The skill discrepancy is too large to even be interesting.
