I personally have always liked the guy, and I think Dana White feels the same, solely based on the fact he hasn’t been cut after not really being a serious contender after 23 UFC fights, and 3 TUF fights.

His style lately reminds me of Kajan Johnson just before UFC cut him (who was doing well at the time), solid boxing with decent jiujitsu and grappling.

I’m kind of glad that he’s gonna be one of those fighters that makes a lot every fight just based on how many fights he has, and would love to see him go on a serious run before he retires.

Anyone else a Bruce Leeroy fan? Also any other examples of guys that haven’t been cut because Dana likes them?

He has a good look -leading you to hope he'd fight like Tiger from the Tekken series. But then he actually fights and it's often underwhelming. Feels like a guy that had tons of potential but never got over the hump.

After seeing him on TUF ten years ago and him losing his first two UFC fights, I'm still staggered by the fact that he's lasted this long and done so well. But he's always pretty entertaining to watch also.

Didn't he used to fight at those backyard Kimbo fights with Masvidal as well?

I don't think Dana keeps him around because he's his friend of anything, he's just a reliable guy who always shows up, says yes to everything and usually has entertaining fights.

There's other fighters like Darren Elkins, Randa Markos, Tim Means etc who've been around for years without ever really being in contention that are similar.

Hasn't Bruce Leeroy got a fight lined up with that guy with the 1-3 record, ali abdelaziz?

I think a more confusing question is how has Nik Lentz managed to get to 20 something fights and 10 years without ever really being entertaining.

I like him, and especially after he suddenly became really mature and well-spoken person. As opposed to the annoying kid he was in the beginning of his UFC/TUF road

Yes, don't know what it is, but I find him just likable.

Lentz kicked the shit out of Gray Maynard a few fights back. That was actually a really entertaining ass whooping.

I like him. Though I'm amazed that someone that skinny can be a professional fighter.

He is way too inconsistent and relies on point fighting 99% of the time. He should have been cut a long time ago.

He's had a few fights where he fought past what I thought he could do. It was nice to see him derail the Pettis hype train a while back. Also had a decent fight with Faber before getting subbed.

I know it’s old but Lentz had a hell of a war with Evan Dunham way back.

Ufc needs guys like Lentz and Caceres.. they are good tests for young fighters and up and coming prospects and a chance for them to get a name on their record.
You beat one of these guys and you probably have or will have a solid ufc career.

I like him too. Kajan (unfortunately for his UFC career) starting talking touch shit about the boss and demanding that Conor money.
