Aldo x RDA. what if they fought?

Aldo mentions over and over that cutting weight is more of an issue for his fights and moving to LW would be natural for him.

RDA last performances were great, but last one against Pettis was awesome.

What if Aldo moves up, who would you pick to win?

I am a fan of both, more of Aldo for his history in the sport and the way he mastered striking, striking D, tdd, his power...

Would RDA's pressure, combined with his striking and TDs, be an issue there?

This would be a really interesting matchup.

I would pick Aldo, but RDA would probably be his most dangerous opponent including all LW/FW fighters.

They match up really well against each other. Aldo be getting dropped by Mendes though so I seriously doubt an Aldo W. Plus RDA is bigger and looks more muscular than ever

TD's would be a non-factor in this fight. Aldo has amazing TDD and Rafael's takedowns are pretty overrated. Just because he was able to control Pettis doesnt mean much for me.. Although he did actually make it look pretty easy

RDA takes it for me, maybe actually definetly Aldo a few years ago.

This is actually just as interesting as pettis vs aldo. Mendes proved how hittable aldo is and dos anjos just showed us how far his striking has come. That said I think aldo proves much harder to take down than pettis and responds much better to the forward pressure. I could see dos anjos eventually getting him down but i'm really curious how long he could keep aldo there. Anytime aldo gets taken dow, he explodes straight up.

I like Aldo a lot, but RDA is a little too big and solid and a very complete fighter.
RDA should take that fight.

Damn, I don't know RDA looked near invincible in that fight. Tough fight, might have to lean towards RDA based on size.
