I think Mendes should work his cardio and grapple if he can tire out Aldo with his grappling maybe he has a chance in the later rounds. Aldo is good though and isn't easy to break mentally. Should be hell of a fight.

how about Cain did to JDS.
once Mendes replicate that style of Cain, Aldo is going to beat beaten badly.
Cain style is super effective and good against non wrestler.
Aldo is not even a wrestler so Mendes don't need to be scare of getting taken down.
he just need to make Aldo guess of what he gonna do.
Weidman and Cain did it to Silva and JDS.
Mendes can do the same.

the take down attempt he grabbed the fence on looked powerful. much more powerful then the second that landed. there was a big difference in the set ups of those takedowns. aldo was almost horizontal when grabbing fence...
but the nature of that TD Aldo would have been put on his hands and knees and I think he would have had no problem getting up the same way he did later in the round.
Either way Mendes worked his way back to a well derserved rematch and it'll silence a lot of the critics on one side of the fence or the other.
huh? Aldo is a very good wrestler. It's not his background but that doesn't mean he isn't good at it.

Funny how people (Myself included) forget about Mendes failed takedowns.
Mendes needs to trust his striking a bit more to set up his take downs. The Dillashaw/Cruz style is unique and not very easy to pull off. Chad needs to re-watch some Cain Valasquez tapes.
