All this tells me is Aldo faced a lot of heat from fellow Brazilians that took exception to him painting them as disingenuous and scheming.

True or not, he did more to rustle Brazilian feathers than anything else. When Conor made the comment, it's up to the listener to speculate as to whether Conor had an inside Brazilian source or something. He didn't say anything like, "as long as there's an Irish man/white guy I've got a spy".

Aldo's attempt at trolling perhaps alienated himself. But it's a minor thing and in the grand scheme of things ppl will forget.

It didn't sound like a joke the way he went on and on about it and then confirmed it when questioned, but maybe he just sucks at jokes.
