Aldo: "I have two fights left, then im moving to boxing"

Don’t want to see him go. He’s still an amazing fighter in MMA, he’ll be a mediocre boxer. He’s still got a lot left in the sport.

Him and Dana should start up a boxercise gym next to an Aldo burgers

Hope he doesn’t fight until his brain is mush, a lot of these guys don’t know when to give it up

His fans were claiming he was going to knock floyd out. And afterwards they echoed your statement about how "at least conor went 10rds". Floyd let conor get that far. When floyd doesn't fuck around he fucks unskilled buffoons up. Floyd knew he had to put on a show and did that and gave the illusion that conor was a bit of a threat. If he wanted to he could have ended it within 2-3rds and Tenshin'd conor.
I didn’t say at least he lasted 10 rounds. You said that an mma fighter should expect to the same thing with Conor and Floyd. You’re insinuating an female fighter will cross over to boxing and immediately go 12 rounds with the best of the best. The reality is an mma fighter would fight cans at 7 rounds for a dozen fights before even remotely moving up. Bet you feel stupid now gooch

Why? This is what 0-1 pro boxer did to him

People need to realise MMA fighters can’t box, if they could they would

Yes, because every kickboxer, wrestler and BJJ based fighter wishes to become a boxer lol. The whole attraction to MMA is that competitors from other disciplines, mainly grappling based have an outlet to compete professionally and become professional athletes. Not many mma fighters want to become boxers, in fact very very few would even consider it. Even striking based fighters choose to do mma.

And with Aldo, what you have to understand is that if he does go into boxing, he's not going to start fighting the best in the world. It's not like Aldo will be matched up with Crawford or Spense or Pacquiao lol. He will start of fighting some regional boxers that are of equal level and take it fight by fight, much how a young boxers starts his career. There are levels to the sport of boxing.

Joe Duffy went into pro boxing and went 7-0 in one year, and that was during his mma career, 3 years after he beat Conor he did boxing. Duffy said he always wanted to be a mixed martial artist but always wondered how he would do in boxing. He worked out with some of the best pro boxers in the UK, had 7 fights with complete success and went back to mma. So no my friend, not every mma fighter wants to be a boxer. Fabio Maldando started in mma and went into boxing after and is 26-1 as a pro boxer.

Why would they do that? Because there is so much more money to be made? No. Do you know how many guys are out there right now with great records that make about as much as your average electrician in boxing? You had guys on the old contender TV show working like three jobs with great pro records. Boxing is a very corrupt sport. And it puts a shitload of money in the pockets of very few people.

MMA Fighters think boxing is a piece of cake because they only use the hands...............Mcgregor vs May should be an example of what to expect on this transition......

Why do you assume that if a mma fighter transitions into boxing he's going to fight the top guys right away?? That's not how it works, May/Mac was a spectacle pairing two of the biggest draws in each sport for a mega fight. That's not the best example to go by. Use the Joe Duffy example as that is something much more realistic and the course Aldo will take. Regional competition, 6 rounds fights to start for at least 10 fights. Duffy went 7-0 in one year.

They could both be pro boxers.

Neither would be elite, but there are plenty of decent pros they can hang with.

Sometimes guys do something because they love it. Not to be the best that ever lived.
